Disclaimer: This guide focuses on a specific aspect of the Cloudflare BYOIP process, explaining how to assign a Cloudflare ASN to your leased subnet. For details on announcing the subnet, refer to the official Cloudflare BYOIP guide.

Step 1: Lease a Subnet with Commitment

To bring your subnet to Cloudflare using BYOIP, you'll need to lease a subnet with a commitment. If you're unfamiliar with commitments and how they work, you can refer to our guide, What are commitments and how they work? Upon requesting a commitment, our Account Managers or Sales team members will get in touch with you to finalize the deal.

Important note: Cloudflare accepts IPs with a signed commitment for 12 months or more.

Step 2: Access Your Leased IPs

Following a successful lease with a commitment, log in to the IPXO portal. Select "Lease" and click "My Leased IPs" from the dropdown menu.

Step 3: Assign Your Subnet

Find the subnet that you want to bring to the Cloudflare and click "Assign":

Step 4: Add AS Organization

In the "Add AS Organization" section, you will need to assign your own or Cloudflare AS number. This step is crucial as it allows Cloudflare to advertise your leased range on your provided ASN. The Cloudflare AS number is AS209242. Type it in and click the "Add" button which will become active. The result should look like this:

Click "Continue" and you will be redirected to a new page to pay the LOA fee.

Once we receive your request, our Customer Solutions team will initiate the creation of the required records. You will receive email updates notifying you of the completion of your request.

Step 5: Confirm ROA Creation

Upon receiving a letter from the IPXO team confirming the successful ROA creation, contact your Account manager or a member of the Sales team to provide you with the Letter of Intent (LOI) as required by Cloudflare.

Step 6: Follow Cloudflare’s BYOIP Guide

Proceed with the BYOIP Cloudflare guide to onboard your leased subnet.
