For IP Lessees, the termination process differs based on whether you have an active commitment with an IP Holder. Please review the following information for instructions on how to terminate your leased subnets from IPXO.

How to terminate a subnet from IPXO (without a commitment)

You can terminate your leased subnets by the end of the billing cycle or by submitting an immediate termination request. Follow these instructions to remove your subnets:

Step 1.

Log in to your Portal account at https://www.ipxo.com/portal/login. Go to the IPXO portal and log in with your account.

Step 2.

Navigate to the “Lease” section and select “My Leased IPs”. Here, you can view and manage all your leased subnets.

Step 3.

Select the desired subnet, and on the right side, you will find three dots. Click on them and select the “Terminate” action.

Step 4.

Continue with the termination button.

Step 5.

You have two termination types to choose:

Option 1: End of the billing cycle. Selecting this option will keep the subnet active until the end of the current billing cycle. Additionally, it will cancel any upcoming invoices related to the terminated subnet. This option should be chosen when you decide not to lease the subnet for the upcoming month.

Selected option 'End of the billing cycle'

When selecting termination at the end of the billing cycle, please ensure that you click the “Terminate” button located at the bottom right of the page. This simple action will initiate the termination process for your subnet.

Please note that to help us improve the quality of our services, we kindly ask you to select the reasons that influenced your decision to terminate the subnet.

Option 2: Immediate termination request. With this option, clients can choose to initiate an immediate termination request, which requires approval from IPXO. The request will undergo a review process within 24 hours. Once the review is complete, our Product Support team will contact the client. Please be aware that refunds are not typically applicable unless certain circumstances, as listed below, have been experienced. For more information, please refer to clause B.2.8 of Appendix A in the Universal Terms of Service Agreement

When submitting an immediate termination request, please select one of the following reasons:

  1. Unauthorized 3rd party announcement
  2. Subnet has been added to significant blocklist databases. You can find them here
  3. ROA (Route Origin Authorization) is not generated within 48 hours after the assignment date
  4. Service was renewed before the due date
Immediate termination request options

Once you have selected the immediate termination request option, please ensure that you click on the button located at the bottom right of the page. By doing so, a ticket will be generated for our dedicated Product Support team. They will promptly review your request within 24 hours and provide a response accordingly.

How to terminate a subnet from IPXO (with a commitment)

Termination of a subnet leased with a commitment is not possible via IPXO Portal. Contact Customer Solutions Team if you'd like to terminate a subnet leased with a commitment.

Stopping the announcement

After the subnet has been terminated from your account, you will receive an email notification confirming the termination. It is important to ensure that your service provider (ASN) stops announcing the subnet to avoid unauthorized usage after termination. If the subnet continues to be announced without service renewal, an additional invoice may be generated to cover the subnet’s usage without renewal.
