If you want to add AFRINIC subnets to the IPXO Marketplace, an automated IP address lease and monetization platform, you need to prepare your subnets. Make sure to get acquainted with the minimum requirements for listing subnets issued by AFRINIC to get the most out of the platform.
Check the subnet's Whois information
Make sure the inetnum you are adding exists in AFRINIC's Whois database. You can use AFRINIC's Search query tool to look this information up.
Authorize IPXO to manage the subnet
Currently, IPXO supports this type of authorization for AFRINIC allocated IP addresses:
- mnt-by: Set the maintainer to netutils-mnt in the AFRINIC portal for a given inetnum
Check if the subnet's status is accepted
Not all subnet statuses are accepted at the IPXO Marketplace. Based on the inetnum status, perform the required action from the following table:
Inetnum Status | Action |
Sub-Allocated PA | Authorize by adding netutils-mnt as mnt-by |
Allocated PA (mask = 24) | Unsupported |
Allocated PA (mask < 24) | Create a more specific inetnum with Assigned PA status and add netutils-mnt as mnt-by |
Assigned PA | Authorize by adding netutils-mnt as mnt-by |
Legacy | Unsupported |
