Leasing and preparing IP addresses for BYOIP

Step 1:

Lease an IP address from the IPXO Marketplace. Make sure that it meets the requirements described above. You can find suitable IP blocks by following this guide.

Step 2:

After leasing the subnet, go to Lease - My Leased IPs and assign the ASN from OVH.

  1. Type in your company’s name in the ‘Company name’ field.
  2. In the 'Add AS Organization' section, you will need to input OVH's AS number. This step is necessary as it allows OVH to advertise your leased range. The OVH AS number is AS16276. Enter it and click 'Add' on the right side. The result should look like this:

Important: You don’t need to worry about creating your records—the IPXO team will handle it for you, and you will be emailed once this happens.

Step 3:

Go to the OVH BYOIP guide section: “You will need to choose one campus where your IP will be used” and follow the instructions to generate a certificate. Send the certificate that you have generated from the OVH BYOIP guide to the IPXO Customer Solutions Team. We will add it (as required) to:

  • descr field in RIPE
  • Public Comments field of in ARIN

Step 4:

Proceed with the BYOIP OVH guide, section “Instructions”, after receiving an e-mail from the IPXO team to notify you about successful ROA and route object creation.
