If you plan to lease your subnet via IPXO's Platform, you first need to change the delegation for your prefix to IPXO's nameservers. This will enable you to control rDNS.

Follow the steps below to create delegations (domain objects) if RIPE NCC issued your IP address.

Step 1

Log in to the RIPE NCC Access Account at https://access.ripe.net/.

Step 2

Click Manage IPs and ASNs at the top and then click RIPE Database.

RIPE Database menu shortcut highlighted in RIPE's Manage IPs and ASNs menu.

Step 3

Click Create an Object under Database Updates.

An arrow pointing to Create and Object menu shortcut in RIPE Database.

Step 4

In the Object type menu, select domain and click Create.

Domain object selected in RIPE's Object type menu.

Step 5

Select your maintainer if it is not selected automatically and enter your prefix (e.g., 1.2.3.4/24).

RIPE's Create "domain" objects form.

Step 6

If the maintainer controls the prefix, the domain object is not already created, and the prefix is not smaller than /24, other fields will appear. Enter the following nameservers into nserver fields:

  • ns1.ipxo.com
  • ns2.ipxo.com

Note: If you add subnet /23 or larger to the IPXO Platform, multiple /24 domain objects will be created (/23 = 2 * /24; /22=4*/24;...).

RIPE's Create "domain" objects form with domain, nserver, admin-c and other fields.

Step 7

Enter admin-c, tech-c and zone-c details and click Submit.

If you follow the instructions carefully, you should be able to create the domain object successfully.
